Sminet Louise' Mueller, 70 of Dowell, went to be with the Lord this Sunday morning December 19, 2004 at 6:30 A.M. for her personal service with God. Louise was a warm, caring person who touched everyone she met and left them feeling better each time she parted. Her smile and laugh was one that will be missed but will always live in our minds. Anyone who knew Louise will understand this as we all do. She loved all. She helped those in need in any way she could. Louise was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Dowell Baptist Church, the Fidelis Sunday School Class and was an events coordinator at the church.
Louise was born April 23, 1934 at Booneville, MS the daughter of Gabriel and Sminet (Woodard) Moreland.
She married Fred Mueller on December 4, 1970 at Pinckneyville and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Dowell, two sons- Roy Mueller and wife Sally of Dowell and Jason Mueller and wife Tamiko of Carbondale, step children- Rose Mary Stratman of Vienna, MO, James Mueller of Carbondale, Carl Mueller of Raymor, MO, brother- Robert Moreland of Joiner, Ark., eight grandchildren- David Mueller, Mercedes Mueller, Elizabeth Mueller, Josh Mueller, Vicky Stratman, James Stratman, Andrew Mueller and Chris Mueller, four great grandchildren- Zarron Mueller, Mary, Anna and Steven Stratman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step son- Frank Mueller, sisters- Hellen Henshaw, Lucille Scott, Hester Moreland and Abby Moreland, brother- Eddie Moreland.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the Dowell Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Pate and Bro. Frank White officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9 A.M. until time of service at the church on Thursday.
Interment will be in the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville.
Friends may make memorials to the Dowell Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
